Electrical Safety Evaluation & Fire Prevention Service

Safeguard your property from hidden electrical risks.

  • Visual Inspections

Where accessible, we perform a thorough visual inspection of wiring in attics, basements, crawlspaces, and electrical panels. We check for exposed, brittle, undersized, or deteriorated wires, along with signs of DIY wiring, improper splices, missing junction boxes, and other common hazards that increase the risk of electrical fire.

  • Panel Inspection

We carefully inspect your main and subpanels for safety and code compliance, checking for outdated or recalled panels like Zinsco or Federal Pacific, as well as signs of corrosion, arcing, overheating, and loose breakers. We also verify proper labeling and component sizing. If hazards are found, we recommend the right solutions to correct the issues, ensuring system reliability, code compliance, and insurance approval.

  • Load Evaluation

We analyze your system’s power usage to determine if your electrical panel is overloaded or improperly balanced. Overloaded panels are a major fire hazard and can lead to overheating, tripped breakers, or even electrical fires. We assess whether your panel can safely handle your current and future electrical needs—especially important for homes with EV chargers, solar, or recent renovations.

  • Thermal Imaging Scan

Using advanced infrared thermal cameras, we scan key components (panels, breakers, connections) to detect hotspots, which indicate overloaded circuits, failing connections, or hidden faults. This non-invasive service helps identify problems that can’t be seen with the naked eye—a proactive way to stop fires before they start.

  • Breaker Testing

We test each circuit breaker to ensure it trips correctly under fault conditions. Faulty breakers that don’t trip as designed can lead to overheating, sparks, and fire. If needed, we recommend breaker replacement or upgrades to modern AFCI/GFCI units for added protection.

  • Grounding & Bonding Check

We ensure your electrical system is properly grounded and bonded to safely direct stray voltage and minimize the risk of shock or fire. This includes inspecting ground rods, grounding electrode conductors, and the bonding of gas and water lines, as well as verifying proper system grounding inside the panel. Improper grounding is a serious code violation and a common safety hazard, particularly in older homes.

  • GFCI & AFCI Protection Testing

We test the functionality of Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCIs) and Arc Fault Circuit Interrupters (AFCIs), both essential life-safety devices required by modern code. These breakers and outlets protect against electrocution, short circuits, and arc-related fires. We’ll confirm they’re properly installed, working, and protecting the right areas of your home.

  • Electrical Surge Risk Evaluation

As part of our inspection, we check for the presence and proper installation of a surge protection device (SPD) within your electrical panel. Surge protectors are essential for preventing voltage spikes that can damage equipment, overheat wiring, and increase the risk of electrical fires. If surge protection is missing, outdated, or improperly installed, we’ll recommend the appropriate upgrade to enhance safety and protect your entire electrical system.n goes here

  • Electrical Safety Assessment Report

After completing your inspection, we provide a comprehensive Electrical Safety Report that outlines any identified risks, fire hazards, or code violations found in your system. The report includes clear explanations, supporting photos, and prioritized recommendations for repairs or upgrades—making it easy to understand what needs attention and why. Whether you're upgrading your electrical system, buying or selling a property, or simply taking proactive steps to improve safety, this report equips you with the information needed to make confident, informed decisions.
